Who created the design: ourselves
- Architect
- Do-it-yourself
What do you particularly like? Sightline from entrance to terrace

Only 1 bathroom
Possibly connections prepared at distance (additional toilet with washbasin)

Why was the design created this way?
Standard designs from house building companies did not appeal to us.

The property consists of 3 parcels (marked in green)

Floor plan of a house: open kitchen/living area, bedrooms, bathroom, utility room, 2 rooms, hallway, pantry.

According to the site plan, the children's room is in the northwest, and the entrance is in the north, or am I mistaken?
They are located in the southwest and west.
Each corner of the house corresponds to a cardinal direction (e.g., utility room in the north, bedroom in the east, etc.).

Children's room with a window facing northeast or east near the entrance door? Bedroom facing the garden and on the west side? I wouldn’t do that.
Entrance door faces northwest and garden faces southeast

Our layout looks almost the same. The only difference is that we moved the bedroom, walk-in closet, and bathroom to the rear right side.
Instead, we have a large dining, kitchen, and living area with a kitchen island, offering an open view of the garden, terrace, and the nearby shrubs and future fruit trees.
We also have a guest bathroom with a shower for the two guest rooms at the front right. All of this is spread over 130 m² (1400 sq ft).

Sounds interesting, may I see your floor plan?

The living and dining area is a bit dark.

Where is the wardrobe supposed to go?
How should the kitchen/dining/pantry be furnished?
For the children’s rooms, move the door so that a cupboard can fit against the wall.
The tiny storage room somehow bothers me.

The wardrobe is in the recess next to the utility room.
The kitchen furnishing will follow.

Thanks in advance

Then the architect was probably more of a "draftsman" (aka a draftsman working for the general contractor). That’s unfortunate.

I’m also very interested in the kitchen and dining area layout. I can’t imagine how it would work with the two patio doors. It doesn’t seem feasible either way. Could you please sketch in the planned furniture? The partition to the living room seems more obstructive than helpful. A guest bathroom is an absolute must for four people. Small windows in the living area. It’s a pity the architect just copied your ideas. Didn’t they have any other suggestions?
I’ve roughly drawn in the kitchen with an island and the sofa with a TV cabinet.
