Hello, we received our front door yesterday and unfortunately noticed that the top frame is only about 5mm (0.2 inches) visible. The side frame is about 3cm (1.2 inches). The overall appearance just doesn’t look right. The door supplier took the measurements and does not consider this a defect. Are there any guidelines for this?
I have attached a photo.

The contractor took the measurements and then sent me a production approval, including pictures of the door from the inside and outside, but not in the installed condition. Before or after the brick cladding? Did the door manufacturer know about the bricks, or could they assume that the house would be built with plaster/render like 95% of houses?
It looks like that all around. Yes, as if the bricks were added later.

It looks like that all around. Yes, as if bricked on.The brick facing and the screed were already in place during the measurements.S

Did you inform the door manufacturer that brick facing would still be installed? The brick facing and screed were already present during the measurement.susanne556 schrieb:
The brick cladding and the screed were already in place during the measurement. The corners as well? Those are often left out before installation begins.S
