You come back from vacation and receive an email about a gas price increase.
A quick look: the consumption price has doubled, and the base price is 25% higher.
And you, who also have a gas heating system?
@Nordlys I know… but who else?

We have a tank in the garden, and the supplier is fixed..... Ordered about a month ago then. Since then, the price has gone up by another 12 cents per liter. ... But we still paid more than double compared to last year.It’s probably propane/butane?!?
I found it surprising that autogas (propane) has “only” increased by about 40%. Compared to the sometimes quoted increases of 150% for town gas, that’s almost a bargain.
Interestingly, our provider no longer offers gas to new customers. I wanted to check what they offer independently of our contract.
I should also mention that we use green gas (whatever that means, apart from the good conscience).
We will probably switch today! A price increase of over 100%…, I still need to calculate how much they raised the prices back in October. At that time, the increase was minimal.

I still have a net price guarantee until the end of March 2022. I just used a comparison calculator. Both labor and base prices have increased by over 100% each.
That’s really intense and it really scared me.
I hope things calm down a bit by the time of the contract renewal.

That’s really intense, and it definitely made me feel uneasy.
I hope things will ease up a bit by the time of contract renewal. Unlikely. It’s not due to scarcity but because of the climate goals. Don’t expect gas to get cheaper, probably even more expensive...
