ᐅ Prefabricated Garage – Concrete or Steel? Which Is Recommended?

Hello everyone,
We need a garage for our planned house. A masonry garage is out of the question due to the high costs. We have now contacted several manufacturers of prefabricated garages and have already received quotes.
Garage dimensions: 3.51 x 7.00 m (in the rear part a storage room will be created, we will do the partition ourselves)
With sectional door, electric, and a door to the garden.
We have received offers ranging from about 8,000 to 15,000 euros for precast concrete garages and steel garages with a precast concrete look cladding.
Now my question is: What do people usually choose here? Does it have to be a precast concrete garage, or is the concrete-look steel garage completely sufficient? It will be built on a strip foundation, if that is relevant.
I would appreciate any experience or advice. Thank you very much!

That’s always something I don’t understand.
I just built a garage myself. (Well, except for the masonry, I did everything on my own.)
I dug the foundation, installed the concrete slab. The masonry work (17.5cm (7 inches) calcium silicate bricks) was done by a bricklayer. I poured the ceiling myself.
Total cost including the building permit / planning permission: about 2,000 euros.

We have had a 3x6m (10x20 feet) precast concrete garage from Rekers for some time now and are very satisfied. We also considered a steel garage, but in the end, the advantages of a concrete garage convinced us more. The garage floor is basically included, the garage was assembled in just a few hours, and roof greening was easy to implement. Another advantage for us was that precast concrete garages can be installed on a slope without any problems. Our house is already built on a hillside, so the garage needed to be right next to it, making this construction method the only reasonable choice.
