Well, I probably wouldn’t have filled my handful of posts so far just by goofing around *LOL*

Definitely coming back with the background from post #11, ten posts earlier.

Best regards, 11ant
formerly window manufacturer, then (until 2019) window dealer …

You’re right, I could have explained that from the start… sorry, I’ll make sure to keep the order clearer in future questions!

But it would be really great if you, as an expert, could share your assessment on this? It would help us a lot!!

THANK YOU 🙂

What we, mostly laypeople here—but partly fellow “sufferers” like you as a window customer—can assess is mainly the impression of the price. I’m not as closely involved, since I’ve dealt with materials from different price ranges.

The at least equally interesting aspect of “how closely does the offer actually match the request?” only becomes clear to both layperson sufferers and professionals once you added additional information.

I’m not only sharing my own thoughts here; a “like” from me on others’ posts basically means “I would have said something similar and didn’t want to repeat myself.”

Please say “professional.” The real “experts” are the hot air blowers on talk show panels.

You might want to reconsider your comments.... 🙄

Well, I’ll try to respond appropriately. The first quotes were obtained through our design office. The companies received our draft as well as the heat calculation from the structural engineer, along with a few requests from us. After receiving the initial offers, we visited a company’s showroom and discussed the position of each window and the front door with them. For example, we wanted anthracite-colored windows on the outside and white on the inside, some windows without blinds/shutters, as well as a simple anthracite aluminum front door without glass and with a side panel, RC2 fittings on the ground floor windows and doors, etc.

Since all these companies have very long delivery times (10-12 weeks), a colleague recommended a company that sources the windows directly from the factory in Poland and delivers within 3 weeks. Their offer is about €1,000 (approximately $1,100) more expensive than the other companies.
However, this includes anthracite-colored aluminum roller shutter slats for all windows!

To get expert opinions from forum members, I posted the entire offer with pictures so you can see what is being delivered and whether the price/performance ratio is reasonable.
Of course, we did our research beforehand, reading various articles, forums, and listening to podcasts on the subject of windows and front doors.

Could you share how you would approach a case like this?

I’m sure others would be interested as well!

Perhaps there are some forum members here who would like to share their assessment or experience! Thanks 🙂

It’s a fair deal. Good windows are made in Poland too.

For windows with installation, the price is relatively reasonable. Compared to other companies that offer these D..x windows, I’m not sure. I don’t think you can get windows much cheaper. But actually, the only way to be sure is to get several quotes. The installation company also has to work on site.

The rule nowadays is: the licenses come from Germany, and the products come from Poland (except for the hardware – but don’t ask me where their “German” manufacturers actually produce).

The installation company has to work on site anyway.
You can really ruin ANY window – our products were truly top quality – if the installer acts like a delivery person who just screws in and foams the window in.

Maybe a few words from me about the windows. Let’s start with the brand. It would be a no-go for me. Dru....tex windows are not impressive. And secondly: the price is clearly too high for this quality. There are better profiles available at better prices.
However, the installation planning looks reasonable.
