ᐅ Evaluation of Quote for Garden Paving and Ground Leveling Works

Hello everyone,

We have received a quote for paving our terrace and the pathway around the house, as well as leveling the ground on the property.
It includes:
- Delivery, installation, and compaction of 30m3 (39 cubic yards) of fill sand
- 55 m2 (592 square feet) of sand base layer, topped with a fine base of crushed sand and gravel
- 20 m2 (215 square feet) of simple rectangular concrete pavers (for the pathway around the house)
- 35 m2 (377 square feet) of basalt antique concrete pavers (a bit more decorative) for the terrace
- Installation of 40m (131 feet) of lawn edging stones
- 5 hours of excavator / wheel loader work for distributing and leveling the ground on the property

The terrace will be rectangular with one rounded side. I will attach a photo.
The total quote is around 5700€ including VAT.

Does this seem reasonable or too expensive?

Is cutting stones and curbs included? That can get expensive quickly with curves...

In my assessment and experience, that is reasonably priced, I think it's great. Your price gives me hope that we might also be able to have the outdoor area professionally done and not have to take on heavy work ourselves.
