We don’t want clear glass for the small guest toilet window or the stairwell window that is over 3m (10 feet) long. The neighbors are very close.
What would be more advisable in this case and why?
Frosted glass or satin-finished glass? Which looks more high-quality?

And can you get a window over 3m (10 feet) long as a single piece, or is it usually divided into two sections?

Can’t you get a frosted window for that price (additional cost)? The film will eventually start to peel off, won’t it?

There is probably an advertising print company or something similar near you. They can do it for under 500€...
With a budget limit of 500, they might even make it look like a stained glass window or a Kim Wilde poster.

It always depends on the region, the membrane, and the size.
Most likely, half of it will be sufficient.

I also believe that wrapping is significantly more cost-effective. We paid just over €100 for 6 windows (3 large, 3 small) partially wrapped with stripes of varying sizes by a local advertising/wrap specialist.

Membrane with air channels (similar to those used in cars) is definitely more expensive than membrane that is applied wet. However, it is also easier to install.

@11ant The plan is for fixed glass without any opening. Do I need a building permit / planning permission if I split it into three sections with opening sashes?

Does it look like frosted or satin glass with a greenish tint? I don’t like the greenish color.
