Hello,
I’m a bit confused because I’m finding different information online, and the answers from contacts are not very clear.

On our slab, we will have 7cm EPS insulation and 2cm impact sound insulation (then underfloor heating/screed/tiles).

Online, it says that the edge insulation strip should be installed only with the topmost insulation layer—in my case, after laying the 7cm EPS—but there are also instructions saying it should be fastened directly to the concrete slab.

Would it be wrong to lay the EPS first, then install the edge insulation strip, and finally add the impact sound insulation?

The edge insulation strip is placed on top of the underfloor heating staple mat. Placing it underneath does not make sense, as it is usually not tall enough there.

OPEN?
So that I understand you correctly, is what is shown in the picture incorrect? That’s how I would have done it.

Insulation, bonding the underfloor heating carrier, and then attaching the perimeter insulation strips on top.

The sketch is already correct as shown, otherwise the screed will crack against the wall if there is slight settling.

So, there are different opinions here again. I will now proceed as shown in the sketch. The materials have been ordered, and it will take some time before I receive anything else.
