So, what precautions have you taken at your houses/construction sites for today and the coming days?

Work stoppage?
Or will the work continue as usual?

Although we have already finished building our house, we moved everything that is not anchored into the garage.
Hopefully, the bricks will stay in place with the clamps.

Strangely, the neighbors put up the entire scaffolding just last night because the workers will be roofing the house next week.. oops:
Not sure if that was a good idea.

It will shift from SSW through SW to W, reaching gusts up to 56 kn, which is a strong 11-12 on the Beaufort scale. We are bringing everything inside: potted plants, trash bins, chairs, everything.

We are going to the construction site later. Currently, the ground floor is being built. I hope they haven't started with the scaffolding yesterday.

I hope the situation in the northern part of Baden-Württemberg is not too bad. Our house is quite exposed, and the wind from the west is really strong.

Anyone have an idea how to secure the portable toilet?

A crate of beer and fill it up after passing the body?

I’m facing the same question and have decided that, in case of doubt, it will just be there tomorrow. I wouldn’t know how to secure it.

I was already thinking about placing some stones there... However, I still have some leftover roof tiles next to the front door... should I put those in there instead...?
In the residential development area, just recently, two small sheds were blown down by somewhat stronger winds...

How secure are portable toilets when they are lying on their side? Do they have something like a backflow prevention valve or anything similar?
