j1985...please don’t be too hard on me for my question!
We are considering building a house in a bungalow style with a finished attic, where the upper floor would only have rooms for the children, and all the living spaces for us would be on the ground floor.
I personally also like city villas with a recessed upper floor and have seen that they often feature a conservatory, garage, etc., with a hipped roof.
I’m wondering how it would look if the roof were extended at the back from the level where the second floor begins, meaning the house would look like a typical recessed upper floor from the front, but from the side it would appear as if there is a bungalow with a hipped roof added at the back.
I hope you understand what I mean?! I would appreciate any pictures....

I would be happy to see some pictures....Yes, exactly, please make a sketch showing how the two houses in the picture are supposed to merge into one house – if I remember correctly, there was no mention yet of a sloped site (?)https://www.instagram.com/11antgmxde/

And where would the garage be then? In the first or the second house?
Don’t get mad, but where exactly is the bungalow look?
The bungalow would be the garage you’re talking about, with the children upstairs being the townhouse.
So we would be looking at a townhouse with a stepped floor and a hipped roof garage. Like any townhouse, just with a stepped top floor.
I’d say: Take a good look around different building zones with open eyes.
