House Design
Who designed it: Do-it-yourself

-Planner from a construction company
-Architect
-Do-it-yourself
What do you especially like? Why?
What do you not like? Why? The cloakroom, because there is no space for it
Cost estimate by architect/planner: None asked yet
Personal price limit for the house, including equipment: €450,000 (all costs included)
Preferred heating technology: District heating, about 50 m (165 ft) pipeline from in-laws

If you have to give up anything, which details or additions
-You can give up: Some square meters in the right places
-You cannot give up: —

Why did the design turn out the way it did? For example:
Standard design from the planner?
Which wishes were implemented by the architect?
A mix of many examples from various magazines...
What makes it in your opinion especially good or bad?

The design developed this way. The good part is that everything needed for daily life is on one level; the disadvantage is the cloakroom situation.

I am still working on the basement layout. Rooms planned are office, utility room, heating room, workshop (hobby: model building), storage, possibly a party room.

I would appreciate your opinions and suggestions.

If you have questions or uncertainties (there are surely many), please feel free to ask.

Thank you and best regards,
Benedikt

What is the basement going to be used for? Given the slope, wouldn’t it make sense to design part of the basement as a parent’s or children’s wing?

Best regards in brief

Hello!

Yes, I'm somewhat uneasy about using the basement as planned living space, but I’m not fundamentally against it. I still need to measure the slope precisely; depending on that, the option might become unnecessary or more definite.

Here are the files in JPG format.

Is there direct access from the parking space to the kitchen? If not, and the kitchen is located in the farthest corner of the house, it could become very inconvenient when carrying groceries.

Why is a 22° roof pitch specified when there is no development plan yet?

My immediate thought when looking at the floor plan with these dimensions: it’s affordable with two chief physician salaries—otherwise, I expect there will be budget cuts.
