Hello everyone!
We are currently planning the roller shutters and related elements for our new build (bungalow, 160 m² (1,722 sq ft) with a wooden beam ceiling). Since we have chosen a wooden beam ceiling and do not want to give up roller shutters, there are two options to install them: raising the floor-to-ceiling height by 28 cm (11 inches) or using external roller shutters. We would prefer to install the latter and have received brochures from the window manufacturer featuring the ROMA company. We particularly like the "Rondo" series. Now we have a question:
How expensive are such roller shutters (with electric drive! color is initially not important) for window dimensions (for example) 126 x 126 cm (50 x 50 inches) and 175 x 220 cm (69 x 87 inches, floor-to-ceiling)?
Can anyone provide approximate pricing? It is difficult to find reliable prices on the internet, or they tend to be misleading.
Which control option is recommended? Switch at the window or central control for the entire room? Are there any price ranges for these options?

Who put the idea in your head that roller shutters are not possible with a wooden beam ceiling? Or is it more likely that you chose the window height too high in relation to the floor-to-ceiling height?

Best regards

I am a bricklayer myself, and no one put this idea in my head. The situation is that a medical practice of about 45m² (480ft²) will be set up in the bungalow. For insurance approvals, we have to meet certain building requirements. This includes the ceiling height. I don’t want to raise the ceiling just because the roller shutter boxes need to be installed below the ring beam. Roma also offers external flush-mounted shutter boxes. I understand the procedure. I just need some price information for the calculation! Can anyone assist me with this?

I would like to see some unfiltered and realistic figures...
