Hello!
We are currently planning our move-in. Our house has several openings in the reinforced concrete ceilings for recessed lighting. We would like to install LED downlights.
The openings have a diameter of 75mm (3 inches) and a depth of 50mm (2 inches). Unfortunately, I cannot find recessed downlights with this diameter in specialist stores.
Does anyone have tips on how I could, for example, install 68mm (2.7 inches) downlights anyway?
Thank you very much and best regards,
Michael

In my opinion, only COB lights sometimes come close to these dimensions, but they often have external power supplies. And if your downlights are already that small, I probably don’t even need to ask about a transformer tunnel. Do you still have the option to run the cables from the downlights all the way to the electrical cabinet? Then the power supply could be located there.

Isn't there an option for high-voltage lights that don't require a transformer? Of course there is. They are not "special solutions" but are commonly available.
