So, I'm starting a new topic here to avoid overloading the house pictures thread.

I find the sliding doors for ovens quite interesting – but do they really offer any added value? I was also surprised to read that ovens now seem to be adopting a feature I dislike in microwaves: instead of setting temperature and possibly time, you input the "dimensions" of the food?! What is that supposed to achieve?! Personally, I think it’s terrible.

What is a steam oven? Does it have a conversation with the cook while it cooks? Does it steam dialogues?

It exists... supposedly does great things... I mean, if you absolutely have to have Miele or a ridiculously expensive vacuum part called Bärbel, this oven might be worth installing in your kitchen.
I mean: who even knows that such a product is available—for end consumers?

Well, I think the combi steamer is aimed either at cooking enthusiasts who want to prepare elaborate dishes and are happy to spend money on it, or at the executive’s spouse who does not have a housekeeper yet and often needs to organize business dinners. In that case, the appliance does everything on its own and at the same time.
