ᐅ Is our construction project feasible? Is our budget sufficient for it?

I’m new here.
Regarding our plans, my wife and I are planning to build our single-family home within the next 1.5 years.
We have a plot of land that is expected to be designated as a building area next year. This is almost certain. The plot has a slight slope, so a basement will be necessary. Development costs will naturally be an additional expense.
We are planning a house of about 160–175 m² (1,722–1,884 sq ft), if it fits within our budget.
Our budget is approximately €430,000 for the house, development costs, additional construction expenses, kitchen, garden, and a carport (prefabricated garage), as mentioned, the land is already available.

As personal contribution, we can install interior doors, lay flooring, and fit windows, the front door, as well as roller shutters and blinds, since we will purchase these directly from the supplier at cost price and install them ourselves.

In your opinion, is this feasible? Is our budget sufficient?

With very basic fittings, it would be possible. With more upscale options, it would not. In that case, about 50,000 to 100,000 is missing.

Is the €430,000 supposed to cover the land purchase and all associated purchase costs as well?

140 sqm (1,507 sq ft) x €2,000 = €280,000
Basement €60,000
Ancillary construction costs €50,000
Outdoor landscaping €25,000
Kitchen, furniture, and lighting €20,000
Carport €5,000–€10,000

It can work well or even better if you omit the basement and plan on two levels instead.

We already own the plot of land, but it still needs to be connected to utilities.
Windows, front door, roller shutters, and blinds will be installed by ourselves, as these tasks are carried out by our own company and will therefore be procured under trade terms.

Doing things in-house also means you have to pay for the materials. Are you working with an architect then? The main thing is to comply with the energy-saving regulations, but honestly, you don’t save that much by using your own company, since that company also doesn’t work for free if you want to ensure warranty coverage.

It could get tight.
