Hello everyone,
We are currently in the quotation phase of our construction project.
We have received an offer from a local general contractor who also provides a precast concrete garage.
The item is as follows:
Rekers XXL Garage RF 580 A, 2.98m x 8.00m (9.8ft x 26.2ft), with 1 door, 1 window, electrical package, 1 electric sectional door, including foundation and drainage.
The cost is 16,260€.
Is this price reasonable? It seems a bit high to me.
Thanks for your feedback and best regards!

Baumfachmann12 Feb 2018 07:45Garage with foundation costs between 10,000 and 12,000 € for this size, which is reasonable.
In 2014, I paid 10,300 € for a 4.50 x 9.30 m (15 ft x 31 ft) garage with an electronic door, one pedestrian door, two windows, a flat roof, and foundation.
Delivery and installation were included.

Tree specialist, that’s quite affordable.
What type of garage? Where from and are you satisfied?
Unfortunately, we were persuaded to sign with Exclusive Garages. Fortunately, with a clause allowing free withdrawal at any time.
They actually have poor reviews. But none of them do.
Even Zapf has very bad reviews.

Our somewhat extravagant garage with about 50m² (540 sq ft) was quoted by Kemmler, since they are practically local.
They want almost 50,000 for it.
Prefabricated with sectional door, extensive green roof including installation without foundations.
An additional side door costs nearly 2,700 net. ))
I would be very grateful if someone could recommend a more affordable supplier.

Baumfachmann12 Feb 2018 16:01From the local carpentry company, timber frame construction with exterior plaster finish. Managed to negotiate the price down by about €1700 to €10,300 (€10,300). Other carpentry companies were similarly priced and only contacted me after the building season. Everyone initially either complained about or laughed at my price expectation. The building season ended, and my phone started ringing. I just had to wait a while, but at that price...

I got a quote from them for a Grötz garage, size 6x6 meters (20x20 ft), including a 5-meter (16 ft) door, one window, and one door for about 15,900. Strip foundation about 3,000 and crane rental around 120 euros per hour.
But I preferred to have it built by a few skilled workers from Bulgaria that I found in your building area. I can give you their address.
However, the formwork shifted during the concrete pour.
With my own work on the windows, door, and parapet, I ended up at roughly 15,000 fixed and finished.
