Hello everyone.

We are planning to build a 140 sqm (1,507 sq ft) city villa without a basement to save costs. However, we would like to have a fitness room. Is there any way to accommodate it outside the house?

Does anyone have ideas? Inside the house, it seems like too much living space would be lost.

Best regards

Make the garage (if planned) slightly larger and partition off a section for the gym?

What exactly do you want to use it for? A stepper machine, or do you have 10 pieces of equipment? How intensively do you plan to use it? Certainly, you can create a multipurpose room where you put weights, the stepper, a desk, and a sofa, for example.

It should be about 15-20 sqm (160-215 sq ft). Is it really that simple to just build it onto the garage?!

Only if this room is not located on the property boundary, since it is a living or habitable space.

For the extra cost, you could go to the gym for many years instead...
