Hello everyone,
We are planning to build a single-family house soon (Dortmund). We will also need a garage. In another thread, I found out that a prefabricated garage (6m x 6m) costs around 20,000 euros, which I find a bit high, but I guess that’s the price.
All the manufacturers of such garages also say that a prefabricated garage costs about 30-50% of a masonry garage. So, if I were to hire a construction company to build a masonry garage, it would cost around 40,000 euros? Could that be correct? What would it cost if I had someone who is a mason? Would that be worthwhile?
Best regards
Marko

Hello,
and good morning everyone,
I am completely new here and was also faced with the decision between a prefabricated garage and a masonry garage.
I contacted all common companies in the Saarland area and quickly realized that prefabricated garages are only "affordable" as long as you stick to the standard dimensions.
Any small modification is charged at a high cost.
I am now having my 8x8 meter (26x26 feet) cube built with masonry.
Where can I start a separate thread on a different topic?
Thanks in advance

Baumhaus.Bau15 Aug 2016 09:46We were also faced with the decision: a brick garage or a prefabricated garage made of concrete or steel? Our garage will be 9 x 6 meters (30 x 20 feet) to fit 1-2 American cars...
We received a quote from Reekers for three concrete precast panels. The total cost, including everything, was around €18,000.
Now we have chosen a steel garage, which costs just under €15,000, including a 5-meter (16.5-foot) sectional door with a motor and electrical components, one door, and one window...
The exterior will be plastered since our house is also plastered.
