My girlfriend and I recently decided to build a small wooden cabin in the mountains. We already have a suitable plot of land and a small woodland area included. I just wanted to ask if there is anything I should consider before starting construction.

oh yes, I really like the idea of the fireplace; I would love to have one too. Unfortunately, I neither have a cabin in the mountains nor the option to install such a fireplace in my apartment. But I think it’s great that you are able to plan something like that, and I hope everything goes according to your wishes.
