ᐅ What is the minimum required distance between a fireplace and a television?

Hello, I am currently trying to incorporate the fireplace into my floor plan. It should be placed against a wall opposite the sofa, where the TV is also located. Since both should be clearly visible, the fireplace shouldn’t be too far from the TV. I am considering a single-sided fireplace, meaning it would be built-in with heat radiating only through the front glass. Now the question is, how much space do I need to leave next to the fireplace wall to prevent the TV from overheating?

Sure, here is the layout where the fireplace is next to the TV and the sofa is angled away from the fireplace. Maybe you have an idea of how to arrange everything differently. The fireplace definitely needs to be on the interior wall, but its position can be closer to the exterior wall. Of course, it would be ideal if the TV and fireplace were on different walls, but there aren't that many walls available. I would also prefer to have the sofa open to the room rather than acting as a room divider.

Please provide in JPG format [emoji4]
And include details about what the TV and fireplace should be.
Is the table really only 50cm (20 inches) deep?

Do you also have the problem that heat escapes through the ceiling opening?

No, we don’t have that issue.
The heat rises upwards into the rooms above through the gallery, yes.
But our open-plan living area also receives plenty of warmth. My photo was taken from the sofa: even in this corner, it’s always comfortably warm.

@ypg: We have the same stove, I think it’s great. On the topic, I can say that our TV is about 1 meter (3 feet) away from the stove, but also set back by about 30 cm (12 inches). It doesn’t receive any heat from the stove.

As I wrote earlier: 1 meter (3 feet), 1.20 meters (4 feet) is fine. But I believe that when planning, each element should be given its own “space.”
