ᐅ Windows by Hilzinger

Hello everyone,

I am currently looking for a window manufacturer for our new build. I have received a quote from the company Hilzinger, which is very attractive in terms of price.

First, some technical details:

PVC profile, 70mm (2.8 inches), 5-chamber system, triple glazing with a Ug value of 0.7, complete window U-value of 1.0, warm edge spacer

I chose this option because I don’t think it makes sense to install passive house-level windows in a “standard” single-family house made of 36.5 Poroton bricks without insulation. The total window area is about 40m² (430 square feet).

Now to my question. The offer from Hilzinger is around 10% (€1,500) below the next best quote. Looking purely at the technical specifications, these are identical windows. Where could this price difference come from? Does anyone have experience with windows or doors from Hilzinger? My gut feeling tells me something might be off, but I have no idea what.

I just found your old post here. Did you decide to go with Hilzinger windows? I’m facing the same question: the offer from Hilzinger is significantly lower than the other providers, so I’m really wondering about the value for money... If you chose Hilzinger, are you satisfied with the window quality? By the way, our window system is called "Matura 76" and the lift-and-slide door is "Quinline."

What are your experiences with this? The company was recommended to me by a friend. I visited them yesterday and received very professional advice.
