ᐅ Are window shutters really that expensive?

Our windows will be about 1 meter (3.3 feet) wide and 1.5 meters (5 feet) high. We received a quote for shutters, where each piece costs around 500 euros. And normally, one window has 2 pieces. Fittings are included. I was almost speechless... Does anyone else have shutters and what did you spend? Best regards, Steffi33.
