we are building our house on a sloped plot and need to construct quite a few retaining walls (about 80 linear meters (260 feet)). The walls can be a maximum of 80 cm (31 inches) high, but we can install two walls with some distance between them, as some areas require retaining up to 2 meters (6.5 feet) in height.
We really like these white Mediterranean-style walls. They seem to be simply plastered and then painted white, right?
Can I build a retaining wall using concrete formwork blocks and then plaster and paint it white, or is there a better type of retaining wall for this purpose?
I have attached a picture to clarify what I mean.
Thanks for any tips and advice!
Best regards

we don’t like the L blocks in the concrete look.
They can probably be plastered, but that would be significantly more expensive compared to formwork blocks.
Thanks!
Best regards
Florian
