It is especially important not to drive these screws in too deeply, as this can cause the panel to split. Therefore, a cordless drill with adjustable torque is very useful, as it allows for precise control.
Additionally, MALM furniture often includes dowels or wooden pins that enable parts to fit together precisely. In this case, a rubber or plastic mallet is important to gently but firmly assemble the connections without damaging the material. Using a metal hammer poses a high risk of damage.
To check alignment, a small leveling device or angle tool is practical – sliding doors or drawers particularly benefit from careful adjustment.
I want to emphasize this – some hinges or metal rails have hidden hex screws that are difficult to handle properly with the included tool.
