Hello, I have a quick question. I want to install a pull-up bar on an 11.5 cm (4.5 inches) thick wall. I drilled a small hole into the wall. The drilling dust was white, and after a few centimeters (inches) there was a cavity. My mother said, "The bricks were not heavy when we built the wall," but since the house was built in 1976, no one remembers what kind of bricks were used. Do you have any advice?

I’m not sure which anchors to use—I’m worried the bar might come loose.

Best regards, Winzerbu

It can really only be calcium silicate brick.

Which type of anchor to use is something the home builders can answer better than I can; I don't even know what you mean by a pull-up bar.

My mother, however, said it was a light stone :/ Isn't calcium silicate brick supposed to be heavy?

Possibly calcium silicate bricks - hollow bricks, which would explain the cavity and the weight of the bricks.
