ᐅ Which prefabricated house company offers the selection of finishes and materials before purchase?

Hello,

I am new here and ask for your understanding if my question seems basic. I have already tried to find an answer in your previous posts but was not successful.

Now to my question:
Apparently, there are prefab house companies that offer the selection of finishes BEFORE signing the purchase contract. Does anyone here know of such a company? This would be a good reason for me to choose that prefab house company, as it would help me better estimate the costs for the new house.

Thanks in advance for your time and best regards, Pinkiponk

You could suggest to a preferred company to compensate them for the selection process and then, if the contract is concluded, of course, get that amount refunded.

This only makes sense if you have already narrowed down your choice to two or three companies.

Standard is not rubbish either. And if you already know that daily use, for example, works better with Villeroy & Boch than with Keramag, you should write it down beforehand and include it in the negotiation.

Can you really say that so generally? First of all, it makes a significant difference whether you take a standard floor plan or have a custom-designed house built by a prefab home builder.

I wrote “equivalent”!
Yes, you can. I have been here for six years now, read a lot, compared and observed.
The only advantage might be that a prefab house can achieve a lower energy efficiency rating (KfW standard). But not in the budget sector.
Therefore, my statement remains. No one has to believe it.

Secondly, most prefabricated houses cost about the same throughout Germany,

Where do you get this information from? Danwood versus Weberhaus?

That’s at least my assessment, but of course it could be nonsense

No concrete information, just my own opinion. Honestly, I haven’t looked into it.
But that’s why I’m asking. If your input is well-founded, then I trust you.

Try working with a small general contractor. They are often more flexible. They collaborate with plumbing companies like Sanitär Müller and electrical companies like Elektro Huber around the church tower area and do not have a fixed selection of 4 shower heads.
