ᐅ Which prefabricated house company offers the selection of finishes and materials before purchase?

Hello,

I am new here and ask for your understanding if my question seems basic. I have already tried to find an answer in your previous posts but was not successful.

Now to my question:
Apparently, there are prefab house companies that offer the selection of finishes BEFORE signing the purchase contract. Does anyone here know of such a company? This would be a good reason for me to choose that prefab house company, as it would help me better estimate the costs for the new house.

Thanks in advance for your time and best regards, Pinkiponk

lesmue79, thank you.
I believe that prefab house manufacturers could simply create a kind of "Amazon" platform—perhaps even several manufacturers working together for cost reasons—so that customers can immediately see what is offered and decide whether the product is worth the price.

Each prefab house manufacturer does things their own way; with some, it is even difficult to get a detailed scope of work before enduring a two-hour sales pitch.

However, many prefabricated house companies often hold open house days where you can see the features included in the standard package, as well as those that require an additional fee.

For example, Viebrockhaus has show homes where this can be seen, but it is not a prefabricated house company.

I believe that prefab house suppliers could simply create some kind of “Amazon” platform, (possibly several suppliers collaborating to reduce costs) where customers can immediately see what is offered and decide if the product is worth the price or not.

That is a very, very clever response. Great business idea. Definitely calls for implementation.

Thank you, Yvonne. If I remember correctly, Viebrockhaus is one of the more expensive providers. Apart from that, I’m still glad to choose a prefabricated house supplier. Seeing how much work and how many hours of research I have already put into this "project," I don’t want to imagine how much effort it would take for a traditionally built house. But that’s on me—I want to understand and decide on (or at least approve) almost every detail myself.

That’s why there is no fixed price. You are the kind of customer that salespeople don’t like. They want to sell immediately.
