We plan to start building next year but are unsure about the perfect timing! (Since we currently live rent-free, the timing does not matter financially.)

What do you think? ---> April or rather the end of June?

I also prefer April because the chances of less frequent rain are higher, allowing the shell construction to dry out over the summer, which is very important to prevent mold from developing.

Why do you only have two possible start dates? I would suggest adding a date in between.

Because:
- Starting at the end of June could already be too late depending on circumstances; if complications arise, you might still be working on the build in autumn or winter.
- I wouldn’t choose April either, since that’s when you begin with excavation, the foundation slab, and the base walls, and as everyone knows, April weather can be very unpredictable. There can still be frost and snow in April, which makes excavation more difficult, slows concrete curing, or even requires the addition of antifreeze agents. If you’re not personally supervising your build, I have even seen base walls being constructed with a gas torch during frost.
