ᐅ What is the cost of installing a roof window in a prefabricated house?

Hello, we have just moved into our prefab house and now want to make some structural changes in the attic. Specifically, we want to install a second roof window between two rafters. It should be a simple standard model without any extras, of normal size, and as mentioned, between the rafters. Before we ask the building contractor, we would like to know what a reasonable price for this would be. We live in Bavaria, so prices in euros ;-)

Approximately 450 to 600 euros including installation for a window measuring about 60 x 80 cm (24 x 31.5 inches). However, the developer will—understandably—add a profit margin. Therefore, you should expect closer to 600 euros.

We once looked at some roof windows at Engeser Fensterwelt, and their prices ranged between 600 and 1,000 euros, depending on the material and glazing.

There are also price differences with these roof windows. It depends on the material and the frame. The glazing also plays a role. We have a holiday home in Germany, and there the roof window including installation cost about 850.00 euros.

I also think that for a roof window in Germany, you need to budget up to 1,000 euros. However, installation should be included in this price.

Without installation, our last roof window cost 350 CHF. I installed this roof window myself. It had the same dimensions as the old roof window,
