My Bosch Logixx 6 washing machine just stopped working with error code 08. That's all I needed! Does anyone happen to know what this error means? Online, it says something like "No signal from the motor tachogenerator." If it's a motor failure, is it worth calling a technician, or should I just buy a new one? 🙁

A reboot fixes everything ^^ Have you tried the reset, even if the machine is still responding to commands? No. Does that help?kaho674 schrieb:

Does this help? Nowadays (and for quite some time), most electronic devices are essentially computers. And with computers, you should almost always try restarting first. Many issues are often resolved simply by doing that. Only if that doesn’t help should you contact support.
The reset attempt unfortunately didn’t help. I have now contacted Bosch by phone. After a thorough investigation, it turns out the heating element is defective. A new heating element costs €269. Travel, repair, and tip bring the total to almost €400. So it’s a total loss. 😡
Since my doctor has forbidden me from any stress, I have simply decided to declare the machine dead and will be getting a new one. :P
