Could it be that the roller shutter cabinets from Ikea have a quality issue? We bought our kitchen in October. The first cabinet couldn’t be assembled at all: one slat was dented, and the shutter couldn’t be pulled down. The replacement cabinet had different parts with different drill holes but could be assembled. However, after one month, the roller shutter cabinet opens by itself, rising about 10cm (4 inches) per hour.
Is there a way to adjust the pull tension? The manual and website don’t help, I couldn’t find a hotline, and emails have not been answered. Maybe someone here can help, hoping I don’t have to dismantle the entire kitchen and drive 120km (75 miles) again.
Best regards
GerhardMayer

IKEA-Experte18 Dec 2013 17:02Hello,
unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to assemble the AVSIKT. According to the assembly instructions, there doesn’t seem to be any adjustable parts, at least not without dismantling the box with the blinds.
The phone number is listed with the store addresses: 061 92 / 93 99999
Emails usually take a few days to be answered. Unfortunately, not every inquiry receives a response.

Maverick185423 Dec 2013 06:23The modules are manufactured by the company Rehau.
Try sending them an email. Maybe they have a solution for the adjustment.
Since the 2-year warranty is still valid, I would not overlook that.
