ᐅ Unipor Silvacor – Soundproofing? Any experiences?

has anyone built with Unipor Silvacor bricks? I would appreciate any feedback. How effective is the sound insulation?
Does anyone know if the filling contains any additives to repel pests or similar?
Do the bricks smell like wood?

Good gracious. I consider this product doubly perfect: harmless and nonsensical. It’s an excess of eco-marketing, nothing more, nothing less. Since Kyrill, there has literally been more windfall timber on the market than can be burned as pellets. It has to go somewhere—why not into hollow brick cavities? It doesn’t cause any harm there, but unfortunately, it only makes sense for the naive dreams of eco-friendly urbanites. You could just as easily fill your masonry bricks with chocolate sprinkles without any risk of gaining weight. Even if you bound the sprinkles with cream candy mass, it still wouldn’t be a problem.

Next, the marketers will probably spot an overlap between fans of organic bricks and people afraid of electromagnetic radiation. Then they’ll put bricks with iron shaving fillings on the market. I think I’d better see a doctor with this laughing fit.

Would you want the fibers to be impregnated with formic acid from nettle extract? No bark beetle, not even one on LSD, will chew through the brick.

No mason would waste time sniffing the cut surfaces of the bricks. The finished wall certainly does not have any scent.
