Hello forum,

I am planning to buy a kitchen from Ikea soon (Abstrakt white). With a dishwasher, stove, oven, and refrigerator, the kitchen will cost around 3400 € (approximately 3400 EUR). The same kitchen costs 1200 € (approximately 1200 EUR) less in Poland. That seems like a good deal, right?
The question is how the warranty works.

Does anyone know if it is possible to claim the warranty for the kitchen and appliances purchased in Poland while in Germany?

I assume not, but maybe you know better.

Best regards

Unfortunately, each purchase is processed only in the respective country. For example, vouchers from Germany are not valid in the Netherlands and vice versa. Do you live close to the Polish border?
I am fortunate to have easy access to both the Dutch and German branches. So, I always compare the prices.

No, not really, but to save 1200€ (about $1300), I would have gone anyway. However, without any warranty, I'd rather not risk it.

Is globalization not quite there yet—or the EU—or whoever is responsible... too bad. Well, maybe it will happen someday, now that we (almost) all use the same currency.

Sure, but in return, each employee receives a 15% discount on everything – worldwide.
