Rachel66In 1993, a so-called RIKA insulation block (similar to Bisotherm or Liaphor stone) was installed in our house. Now the exterior wall in the knee wall area is to be insulated. This area is not plastered but has been covered with profiled wood in a Black Forest house style for all these years. Can I attach a URSA insulation board directly to the stone and then install a Vinylit profile on top, or will the wall start to develop condensation?

Does the wall then start to sweat? It depends on how well the wall performs or how much strain it is under. I experience the same when I exercise.Seriously, you can do it based on your gut feeling. However, to be safe, you should either consult a professional who can calculate the dew point for you or alternatively ask ubakus yourself.

Or was the roof raised, did it previously have no knee wall, and only this part is built with this stone?https://www.instagram.com/11antgmxde/
