The sealing tape for the interior seal is leaking in some spots between the window frame and the wall at the frame. Do I need to remove the window to reseal the tape properly, or is it enough to apply foil adhesive to create a seam between the window frame and the sealing tape?
There might also be the option to stick the tape to the front side of the window if it will be covered by the plaster.
What would you recommend?

knalltüte30 Jan 2021 21:31Hello, there are already several threads on this topic...
However: The compressible sealing tape, which is installed around the window before fitting, expands afterwards and can serve multiple functions (air tightness, insulation), cannot be applied later without removing the window. Fortunately, there are different ways to achieve the goal. A sealing tape attached directly to the window frame can also help separate the interior climate from the exterior. That is precisely its purpose. And yes, this would certainly need to be installed within the reveal area so that it can be covered later by plaster.
The installation method, however, may vary depending on the construction type. I am only familiar with the one required for timber frame or solid wood construction. It refers to plaster and concerns the interior side. Presumably, you are building a masonry structure?
Please upload several pictures of the current condition with enough details, so that more specific advice can be given.
