rutanemra30 Apr 2024 23:34Hello everyone,
I wanted to brighten up a room ceiling with a new textured plaster. The Plid roll plaster can be applied either with a short-haired roller or a trowel; I chose the latter. However, I probably didn’t apply enough material in some spots – now these thin areas are very noticeable: they have an unattractive shine. (see photos)
The 20 kg (44 lbs) bag was just enough for my 18 m² (194 ft²), while the stated coverage is up to 30 m² (323 ft²).
My initial idea to fix the mentioned "thin" spots won’t work due to the lack of material. Buying another large batch just for about half a square meter doesn’t make sense.
Does anyone have a practical suggestion on what I could do? Painting the whole surface with a glossy white coat – brrr – no thanks!
Unfortunately, these 30 kg (66 lbs) packages are the only option available; does anyone know a similar product in 1 or 2 kg (2.2 or 4.4 lbs) packs that I could use to discreetly repair the imperfections? I’d be very grateful for any feasible advice. But please keep in mind: I am a beginner!
