Hello,

I have the following question:
I want to cover a wall in my bathroom with stone veneer. I didn’t like any of the options I found at the home improvement stores, so I searched online. Now I’ve actually found the perfect stone wall, but the website owner couldn’t help me identify the source of the stones. I’m attaching a picture….

Does anyone recognize this or know where I can get something similar? Many thanks for your help!

Good luck, JoergDT

It looks similar to the facing brick from Klimex Colorado Anthracite, which is available at Hornbach.

The ones in the photo look like imitations to me... Colored plaster? If so, they wouldn’t be suitable for wet rooms.
I would suggest searching for slate cladding.

It could also be basalt...

We have slate in the bathroom; I can share a photo. So far, it has worked very well (treated with stone sealant), but it is said to be quite susceptible to dirt and moisture...
We’ll know more in three years.
It is important that natural stone is only installed using special adhesives; otherwise, ugly discolorations can occur.

Nice – do you have a photo of how the bathtub is positioned? What type of bathtub is it? Is it large enough for two people or comfortable for lying down?

Sorry for being a bit off-topic.
