Hello,
Is there actually an alternative to Fastbo?
IKEA recommended side panels (and glass behind the stove), but as far as I know, these are not heat resistant and also high gloss. For me, that means constant wiping...

Hmm... Tiles???

Otherwise, order a wall panel with a countertop design. The square meter costs 99 euros, and there is even a 15% discount until May 21.

We have old tiles on the wall.
Installing new tiles is not an option due to cost.
The IKEA consultant recommended fastbo, which looked nice in the store, but turned out to be difficult to install: the kitchen planner had designed a rail system for it, but it turned out not to fit.
And are the wall panels in countertop finish heat-resistant? Do you know how thin they are available?
-> They can only be viewed in the store, not online, right? At least I couldn’t find anything.

Hi,

basically, this custom-made wall panel is a thin worktop. It has a wood composite core with a laminate surface and is about 1.6cm (0.6 inches) thick. I can’t tell you the exact heat resistance, but it’s similar to a worktop. In my opinion, there is too much unnecessary concern about this. These details are only really important if you cook with an open flame, like gas.

You can also check them out in the catalog or at the furniture store. The decorative finishes are the same as those available for made-to-measure worktops.
