ᐅ Smooth or wire-cut facing bricks – disadvantages and user experiences?

I want to pave my driveway and have come across scraped and smooth clay pavers.

My question is whether scraped clay pavers are more prone to all kinds of dirt and stains.

I have a small area with open-pored concrete pavers, and I must say, that was a mistake.

What exactly do you consider the mistake? Brick pavers are a different material compared to concrete, after all.

Well, somehow the kids managed to make the chalk stains permanent. The color is fading; it was supposed to be anthracite but now, after just 2 years, it already looks light gray, so it’s not colorfast. Also, I have an old bench that developed some light rust (which I have since sanded and repainted), leaving stains on the paving.
Of course, you could clean it with a pressure washer, but in the long run, that doesn’t improve the situation.
