Good morning, dear builders and homeowners,

attached you will find the floor plan for our single-family house with a pitched roof. We would like to know if you see any potential for a more efficient use of space.

We don’t see many options to change it, but perhaps you know of similar floor plans that are a bit more innovative and creative. Ours seems rather conventional 🙂

Unfortunately, I couldn’t quickly find a thread presenting various floor plans from others. If such a thread exists, please feel free to link it.

Thank you very much in advance 🙂

Could you please fill out the questionnaire?

Well, I only see a lost little ground floor.

I immediately found what apparently inspired you regarding bay windows and corner windows: https://www.hausbau-forum.de/attachments/stadtvilla-ca-200qm-mit-anbau-453185-8-png.54385/

I only see the ground floor. I think the layout is good, but I would definitely design the bathroom. Is it supposed to include a shower?

In general, the question is whether to plan the windows first or the floor plan with furniture first. I prefer the latter. For example, I really like sitting on the sofa and being able to look outside. Ideally, I can also see the TV from the same position. In short, I would skip the corner windows. Place the TV in the corner and have windows facing the garden next to it. Regarding space, you might consider swapping the kitchen and the sofa area. There are certainly pros and cons, but it’s worth thinking through.
