we are planning a recessed niche/shelf in our shower measuring 50 x 30cm (20 x 12 inches). The site manager asked me at what height we would like to have it. Therefore, my question to you is: who else has a similar niche/shelf and at what height does yours start? It would also be interesting to compare your measurements.

sorry for the late reply – I couldn’t access the forum from yesterday evening until just now…
Our niche starts at a height of 1.268 meters (4 feet 2 inches) – the joints each have a width of about 3 millimeters (0.12 inches).
I hope this helps you a bit more now…

another recommendation from me:
I would suggest using metal profiles (stainless steel or chrome-plated) for the "frame" around the niche and all edges instead of the standard white Schlüter profiles.
It doesn’t cost much but provides a significant visual improvement.

That's right, the niche in the shower wall is exactly the same size as one tile. This creates a quite harmonious look.
