Hello everyone!

Have you chosen a security key for your front door or side entrance door? Or did you go with a standard, regular key?

A few years ago in our area, there were some break-ins through the roof of single-story houses. Many of these houses don’t have a full wooden decking under the roof tiles.

On the topic: We have all exterior doors, including the garden gate, keyed alike with a security key.

There have also been break-ins through tunnels dug underground... but those were aimed at bank safes or jewelry. Break-ins through the roof often happened in discount stores, because they all have the same building design. This is unlikely to happen in modern single-family homes anymore.

Hehe, no, not before either. As I said, the typical burglar is characterized by laziness and limited intelligence. Usually, they know one method and apply it the same way every time. There are many burglaries in apartments or single-family homes, unfortunately, but fear is often used to sell prevention options. It always comes down to a personal balance between the measures taken and the resulting loss of living quality or money. There is no single truth, and even the most experienced "specialist" doesn’t know it.
Burglars with genuinely high technical skills deliberately select suitable properties with expected valuables.

What is still actually stolen in a traditional break-in these days?
TVs have little value, and most average single-family homeowners probably don’t own any art. Cash is becoming obsolete. Is it still worth stealing silverware?
Isn’t it true that the damage caused during a break-in is often much greater than the value of the stolen items?

Watches, jewelry, women's handbags, expensive cameras.

Ok, I don't have a reference point for that. But maybe I am the exception in this case.
