Hello everyone!

Have you chosen a security key for your front door or side entrance door? Or did you go with a standard, regular key?

Of course, security keys are a must! I believe insurance companies also require this. I have a keyed alike system, meaning the front door, garden gate, garage, and side entrance are all secured with one key and a keycard.

No. In case of lost keys, the cylinders can be replaced quickly and very cheaply. Insurance does not require this at all.

Standard keys. Winkhaus from Rosenberg in Lübeck. No keycards. All doors use the same key. I’m not going to drive myself crazy or become a slave to master key systems.

You can choose whatever you like, but you must comply with the insurance requirements. So no protruding locks or similar – that would be negligent. Otherwise, you have free choice.

We have now received the offer for a keyed-alike system of 3 locks including security keys from KABA for an additional cost of 250€ (euros).

I think that is fair.
