Hello everyone!
Have you chosen a security key for your front door or side entrance door? Or did you go with a standard, regular key?

Burglars with advanced technical skills specifically target properties expected to contain valuable items. You are absolutely right. I work in the field, and it is exactly as you say.

What is still typically stolen during a traditional burglary these days? Tolentino schrieb:
Cash is out of fashion. ?
Cash! Cash, jewelry, perfume, and iPads as opportunistic grab-and-go items. Even the high-end sunglasses from the car are taken for the partner.
Recently, I had two in sight who took a gas grill and seat cushions... :P

Cash! Cash, jewelry, perfume, and iPads taken randomly while walking by. Even the high-end sunglasses from the car are snatched for the partner.
Recently, I noticed two of them who took a gas grill and seat cushions... We must have worked in similar sectors...-

Cash! Cash, jewelry, perfume, and iPads picked up by chance while passing by. Even the high-end sunglasses left in the car get taken for a friend.
Recently, I noticed two people who had a gas grill and seat cushions...Really? Okay, I guess I just think differently. However, as you can see in the other thread here, people can spend over 1000 EUR (about $1100) on a gas grill—I just can’t relate to that.
The most valuable thing for me will probably be the kitchen. I just hope it doesn’t get stolen.

pagoni202015 Jun 2020 13:21Everything gets stolen, often what or where you least expect it. As a friend of mine says: God has a big zoo, and anything is possible there. But back to the topic of burglary protection. It usually involves some compromise in quality of life or high costs, which ultimately means the same thing. Living freely in an open house with absolute security is always a delicate balance, sometimes falsely promised by certain security companies. I don’t have a solution for this, but I always find my own individual approach where I feel comfortable and safe.
@Tolentino For most people (myself included), the worst nightmare would be that a stranger arbitrarily entered their most private space. Theft and property damage are usually "just" annoying, but when unknown, criminal individuals have been inside your locked area (even a terrace with a $10 grill), this feeling tends to stay with people for a very long time.
