we recently bought a house and afterwards noticed that there are quite a few mice in the attic. Possible entry points seem to be the ventilation gaps in the masonry and the gap between the roof overhang and the brickwork. We have already covered one gap with a protective mesh (visible on the left in the picture) because the internal protection we installed was not really effective (a kind of insect screen that might help against insects but not rodents).
Although the number of mice has significantly decreased, they probably still enter through the gap between the masonry and the roof overhang.
Do you have any suggestions on the best way to seal this gap against rodents, wasps, etc.? Spraying it shut is probably not an option due to ventilation, right? We would rather avoid installing a protective mesh like the one on the left there because it would be quite noticeable visually.
Thanks and best regards
Sebastian
