HRG83Hello everyone,
The walls have been plastered with lime plaster, and since last week, the screed has been installed. What is the best order to proceed from here, and is it possible to continue working inside the house during the drying phase? A large part of the remaining work will be done by ourselves...
Drywall sheets for the attic
Steps for the concrete staircase
Wall tiles
Ceiling tiles
Installing the attic ladder
Interior doors
Painting
Topcoat plaster
Completion of electrical and heating work
Thanks in advance for the advice.

In the last week of the drying phase, the drywall installer can begin. Before that, the house is too humid. For example, the attic ladder is only installed at the end of the drywall phase. Tiles should only be laid once the screed is completely dry.
So, relax and be patient.

I can tell you how it went for us and what the current situation is. When the drying program was almost finished, we started installing and finishing the drywall panels on the ceiling, and more or less at the same time, we installed the attic ladder. After that, the electrical/plumbing/heating company began the final installations, such as installing electrical boxes, setting the bathtub, installing shower drains, mounting the ventilation unit, and so on. Meanwhile, the tiler also started, first tiling the walls and the bathtub in the bathrooms. Then he moved on to tiling the floors while the building services/electrical company was still working inside the house (installing boxes, etc.). Once the tiling work was almost complete, the painter began applying the painting fleece throughout the house. Currently, he has finished the upper floor and is working on the ground floor, and we have now started painting the walls on the upper floor ourselves. Once the painting is finished at some point, we will install the flooring and then fit the doors. Just before the painter started, the staircase company came to take measurements for the stair treads (the concrete staircase will get a wood covering); however, the installation will only happen at the very end when the house is really finished otherwise. Soon, the building services company will come back to complete the remaining work, such as installing sanitary fixtures, fitting frames and switches, commissioning the ventilation system, etc. This will be done intermittently whenever the company has time.
At least that’s how we are doing it. It probably isn’t the ultimate or perfect sequence, but it works well for us. However, many roads lead to Rome, and it always somewhat depends on when which trade has time and so on.
