If it’s that urgent, why not just pay the extra cost for fast-setting screed, which can be tiled after only a few days? You can dry it quickly with a dehumidifier plus appropriate screed heating. But current outdoor temperatures and humidity also play a role. And finally, moisture should simply be measured in multiple spots... It’s better to wait an extra week than to start flooring right after reaching the maximum permitted residual moisture level...

Most people consider the screed as a kind of interior construction break and then focus on other tasks (landscaping, garage, terrace, or various design selections...).

to be honest, we don’t know which type of screed the builder uses. We would need to ask about that.

I would probably wait one or two years and let the situation dry out naturally. Or do the tiles absolutely have to be installed sooner rather than later?

When the space is empty and without furniture, we preferred to install the tiles right at the beginning. Later on, with furniture and small children, it becomes difficult.

What is still unclear is whether there is underfloor heating installed in the basement. If so, the basement could be heated just like the living spaces to keep it dry.

Heating systems usually include a screed heating program. The screed installer typically provides a drying schedule, and you set the heating system according to that. That’s it.
