Hello,

Which would be the most cost-effective option (with less cabling) for a satellite system with two satellite positions ASTRA/HOTBIRD in a new planned house construction?

Satellite connections as follows:

1x Twin receiver VU+ 4K (FCB tuner) in the living room
1x Bedroom
2x Children's rooms
1x Hobby basement

Would a Unicable system or a standard installation be recommended here?
What hardware is needed/recommended?

Thank you!

Standard installation... with a multiswitch, for example 9/8, plus 2x Quattro LNBs and coaxial cable (100m/330 feet, 20 euros).

Other than that, you only need outlets and TVs with a satellite tuner or an additional receiver for each TV.

I wouldn’t install a Unicable system unless absolutely necessary. The extra few meters of cable are worth it, and that way you can use standard equipment. 😉
