Hello everyone,

There was a loud snap and suddenly it was dark in the room because the roller shutter would no longer open. I opened the box and immediately saw that both eyelets had torn, see pictures.

Of course, I could fix the hanging strap in a different position and use a "healthy" eyelet.

But it’s only a matter of time before these eyelets break as well, especially considering how little plastic is used there. Who designs something like this?

The roller shutter itself is very old and extremely heavy.

What would you advise me to do?

Thank you in advance.

Roller shutters have been designed this way for a very long time... and they work properly if installed and maintained correctly, meaning there are enough fixing points depending on the width, height, and weight of the shutter slats.
