ᐅ Controlling Roller Shutters via App in a New Construction Project

Botan12I would like to control my roller shutters via an app.
I am currently building a new house and the electrical work is in progress.
There are a total of 13 roller shutters, but unfortunately my electrician doesn’t have much experience with this and asked me to look into it myself.
The budget for the materials is not very high, up to 500€; is it possible to find something reasonable within that range, or would you recommend just leaving it?

500€ for which material? Just the control system?
If you have good (!) Wi-Fi coverage at every roller shutter, or wherever the control is located, devices like the Shelly 2.5 could be the most cost-effective solution. These are installed behind regular roller shutter switches (not toggle switches). You would just need to show the wiring diagram to your electrician to see if they can work with it. Alternatively, if it’s only about roller shutters, you could consider Somfy (although I’m usually not a fan of their products). Their motors tend to be a bit more expensive, so if your budget is tight, you should calculate (or have someone calculate) the costs carefully.

If you have good (!) Wi-Fi coverage at each roller shutter or wherever the control is located, for example, Shelly 2.5 could be the most affordable solution. These are installed behind standard roller shutter push-buttons (not switches). You would just need to show your electrician the wiring diagram to see if they can work with it. Alternatively, if it’s only about roller shutters, you could also consider Somfy (even though I’m not a fan of that brand). However, their motors tend to be a bit more expensive, so if your budget is limited, you might want to calculate the costs first. So, roller shutter motors are already installed; it’s just about the control, preferably via Wi-Fi.
There really are many different providers out there. I will take a closer look at Shelly 2.5 and would appreciate further recommendations.
I would also recommend the Shelly. The original control remains, which is always very important for housemates who find smart home systems overwhelming. It’s basically an add-on.
In our case, the electrician installed the blinds switches as push buttons so that wireless actuators can be installed behind them. We are using ones from Eltako with the EnOcean wireless protocol.
Will the electrician install these for you as well, or has he already completed his work?
